Mumbai :-The newly appointed ambassador of Brazil in India Kenneth H. da Nobrega called on Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais at Raj Bhavan Mumbai on Wed (27 Sept).
The Ambassador told the Governor that Brazil is keen to enhance trade and economic partnership with India and foster cooperation in the field of agriculture.
Welcoming the Ambassador to Maharashtra, the Governor said Brazil is the agricultural powerhouse and a major exporter of agricultural products. He said India and Brazil can together feed the entire world.
In this connection the Governor sought increased cooperation between agricultural universities in Maharashtra and Brazil. He said Maharashtra has 4 agricultural universities and one university of veterinary and animal sciences. He said student – exchange, faculty exchange and sharing of semesters and expertise will help students on both sides.
Head of Trade in the Brazilian Embassy in India Wagner Silva e Antunes and Agricultural Attache Angelo de Queiroz Mauricio were present.
