Nagpur :- Delhi Public School MIHAN hosted a spectacular Inter-school Literary Festival Literary Odyssey-A Feast for the Mind on 29th July, celebrating literature, creativity, and the power of words. Aasawari Shenolikar, Deputy Editor of The Hitavada graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Guest of Honour Sachin Jahagirdar, Secretary of Vidharba Literature Club, Priyanka Kothari, patron of Vidharba Literary festival and Shraboni Dasgupta, Retd HOD, Narayana Vidyalayam were other esteemed judges who graced the occasion.
The President and Pro Vice Chairperson of DPS MIHAN and Kamptee Road Tulika Kedia congratulated the students for their enthusiastic participation and performances. Director of DPS MIHAN and Kamptee Road Savita Jaiswal appreciated the efforts of the participants. The Principal of DPS MIHAN Nidhi Yadav in her welcome address stressed the importance of reading not only novels but also poetry and understanding it.
In her address, the chief guest appreciated this initiative of the school to develop an interest in Literature amongst the students through this innovative concept of literary fest for the students. The judges also acknowledged the creative expressions of the participants.
DPS MIHAN Literary Odyssey included Poetry in Motion, Promethean Slate, Battle of Wits, and Moods and Expressions for teachers. The event aimed to nurture a love for literature and creativity amongst the students. Many prominent schools of Nagpur participated in the competition, with Narayana Vidyalayam, DPS Kamptee Road, Bhavan’s Srikrishna Krishna and Bhavan’s Trimurti Nagar to name a few. Bhavan’s Trimurti Nagar won in Promethean slate and Narayana Vidyalayam Chichbhuvan emerged victorious in Poetry in Motion.
DPS Kamptee Road which emerged as the overall winner of the competition, also performed the best in the Battle of Wits which was a quiz competition based on the theme Marvels. Quiz Masters Padmanabhan Pillai and Aniruddha Moraka conducted a highly informative quiz. The fest also featured a mesmerizing dance performance and an encouraging choir sung by the students of DPS MIHAN.
