Nagpur :- The Railway Protection Force (RPF) Wardha, as part of their ongoing “Operation Nanhe Farishtey,” successfully rescued two minor girls at Wardha Railway Station, Platform No. 2. While on regular patrol, Sub-Inspector R.K. Mishra encountered the girls, who appeared lost and in need of assistance.
The girls, residents of Anuppur, Madhya Pradesh, had inadvertently boarded a train bound for Mumbai, mistaking it for one headed to Jabalpur. They had left home without informing their families, seeking educational opportunities, but became disoriented during their journey and alighted at Wardha Station upon realizing the travel misdirection.
Acting swiftly, RPF Wardha notified Inspector Wardha of the situation and escorted the girls to the RPF Wardha office. In collaboration with Childline Wardha, RPF ensured the safe custody and well-being of the minors. Childline representatives, Supervisor Purushottam Kamble, and Case Workers Sheetal Ghodrao and Suraj Wankhade, arrived promptly to take responsibility for the girls.
Following standard protocol, the minors underwent a medical examination and were handed over to Childline Wardha, with the family notified and assured of their safety. This rescue, under the compassionate initiative “Operation Nanhe Farishtey,” underscores Central Railway’s unwavering commitment to the protection and welfare of vulnerable individuals across its net work.
