RPF Chandrapur & GRP Team Seize 250 Bottles of Illegal Liquor in ‘Operation Satark’

Nagpur :- A joint team of RPF Chandrapur and GRP WR conducted a successful operation under ‘Operation Satark’ at Chandrapur Railway Station. During a routine patrol at the BPQ side of the yard, the team discovered two abandoned black/grey bags in a suspicious condition. Despite inquiries with people nearby, no one came forward to claim ownership of the bags.

Upon opening the bags in the presence of two witnesses, the team found a total of 250 bottles of illegal country liquor (Tango Punch, 90 ml) worth ₹8,750. The liquor was seized by GRP WR’s PSI Avinash Narnavare, who took the items into custody in the presence of the witnesses.

A case was subsequently registered at GRP Ballarshah Post (Case No. 42/2024) and at GRP WR Police Station (CR No. 386/24) under Section 65(e) of the Maharashtra Prohibition Act for illegal possession and transportation of liquor. The operation highlights the continued vigilance and coordinated efforts of RPF and GRP in maintaining law and order at the station and ensuring a safe and secure environment for the public.
