Nagpur : Delhi, host Vidarbha, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Haryana and other teams gave a winning salute in the 19th National Inclusion Cup 2023 Girls’ Slum Soccer Football Tournament at the national level, which was started today by the krida vikas sanstha (Slum Soccer).
Delhi defeated Karnataka 9-7 in a tight opener in the tournament being played at the Slum Soccer Academy, Bokhara. Kanika scored seven goals (2.10, 9.48, 10.15, 10.50, 11.27, 11.58 and 13.30 minutes) and contributed significantly to the team’s victory. Sonam (8th minute) and Mona (9.30 minute) scored a goal each to give her proper support.
In the second match, host Vidarbha defeated Tamil Nadu 9-2. tinkal Deshmukh played an important role in Vidarbha’s victory by scoring four goals (1, 3.50, 11.20 and 12.30 minutes). Achal Siddam, Sarita Todase scored two goals each while Vaishnavi Meshram ably supported her by scoring one goal.
In the third match, Maharashtra team defeated Jharkhand by 8-0. In the subsequent match, Haryana defeated Gujarat 3-2. In another match, Andhra Pradesh defeated Jharkhand 8-1 and Chhattisgarh defeated Tamil Nadu 13-0.
On the occasion of the inauguration, a group of girls from Hindustan Vidyalaya, Vardhaman Nagar, Nagpur performed a rhythmic Lazeem dance. Ghana Tirpude of Yugantar Education Institute announced the inauguration of the competition. Vinita Tirpude of Yugantar Education Institute congratulated the competition.
