Nagpur :-To create awareness about voting rights and voting registration for new voters, ‘13th National Voter Day’ celebrated recently by National Service Scheme (NSS) Cell of G H Raisoni College of Engineering (GHRCE) Nagpur. The chief guest of function was Indira Chaudhari, SDO Nagpur Rural, Dr. Hansa Mohane, Tahsildar Hingna & Jyoti Bhosale, Nayab Tahsildar Hingna.
The preamble was read by Dr. Mangesh Bhorkar, NSS Head GHRCE. NSS Volunteers Suraksha Chandawani delivered a speech on voter Day. Dr. Sachin Untawale, Director GHRCE welcomed the guest with floral bouquet & deliver a speech. He state that in GHRCE students not only get academically string but also with extracurricular activity which helps them to build their career in 360 degrees. Dr. Hansa Mohane talked on the India as a biggest democracy of India & how the National Voters day celebration was started. She also stated the voting systems from past to present. Mrs.India Chaudhary spoke on choosing right leader by casting the vote. But to cast vote new voters must do the registration first. She also talked on the various programs taken by the election commission of India to create awareness about voting. Then Jyoti Bhosale, elaborated the registration process and various forms required for registration process for new voters. At the end of program prize distribution ceremony was done for the painting activity. All attendees taken the Voters Pledge in this program. In all 152 studnets were present for the program. The program was well executed by Pooja Madankar and anchored by Sharvari Alone & Darshika Ramteke. President of NSS GHRCE & Dr. Mangesh Bhorkar, NSS Head under the valuable guidance of Dr. Sachin Untawale Director & Dr. Pramod Walke Deputy Director GHRCE Nagpur. The program ended with the vote of thanks by Dr. Bhorkar.
