Nagpur –  This is the twelfth consecutive year of the Agro Vision which is the largest agriculture fest in the Asia. This time, Agro vision is organized in a spacious and well-planned layout. This makes it easier for the farmers and citizens to move around easily.

Held from December 24 to 27 at the local Reshimbagh ground, the four-day agricultural exhibition has 350 stalls, 6 agricultural exhibition domes, and 2 agricultural workshops Halls. The concept of this year’s agricultural exhibition is ‘New Technology for prosperous Agriculture’. The exhibition is featuring seminars and conferences on various topics such as the development of the dairy industry in Vidarbha, freshwater fisheries, technology in agriculture, and value addition in farming.

Now that, the new kind of arrangements are made, the exhibition has got the very charming look.   Open-air arrangements and well-planned organization are the main features of this year’s expo. This year, the main stage of the exhibition is not at the Reshimbagh ground and all the main events and discussions are taking place in the Suresh Bhat hall, and crowd management has become easy. A grand screen has been set up in the Reshimbagh ground to listen to and watch the programs and discussions going on in the Bhat Hall. Earlier one had to come to the main road to reach Hall from the ground. This year arrangements have been made for direct access to the ground from the hall.

A total of six domes have been set up for the stalls in the exhibition. The stalls of Bamboo development Board, Mother dairy, Ministry of agriculture (Central), Dhanuka Agritech, Mahanand Dairy of Maharashtra govt, Aarey, Warna, Postal services, Handloom cooperation, Pravin Masale, Suruchi Masale, Visvesvaraya National Institute, Cotton Research Center, Groundwater Survey Department, Remote Sensing Application Center, Maharashtra Airport Development Company, Mahindra Tractors, JCB, UPCON, Purti Sachan Samrudhi Project are the center of attraction this year.

In addition to this, the stalls in the dome are also very well designed. A special dome is being set up for demonstrations of fertilizers, pesticides, spraying materials, chemicals, new technologies and equipment. Farmers and youngsters are eager to learn new concepts.

Open hangar

All care regarding the pandemic is being taken. Every person visiting the hall is going through thermal checking. The visitors are given an identity card that mentions their name, department etc. At the entrance, four drones are placed to demonstrate drone spraying. They are an eye-catcher. Apart from this, the stalls of huge tractors, JCB machines, Rotavators, mechanical threshing machines, new style vehicles etc. are also attractive.

Livestock gallery

The livestock gallery is the main attraction this year. It has been there for the last five years. But this year goats, cows, buffaloes, bulls, fish, chickens, and calves developed from new embryo technology are being displayed. Apart from this, farmers are able to see the new Gir cows that are developed from the new technology of artificial insemination. It is noteworthy to mention that these are developed by using the semen of a bull from Brazil.
