RPF Dhamangaon Recovers Lost Bag, Returns Belongings to its Owner in ‘Operation Amanat’

Nagpur :- During routine patrol at Dhamangaon Station, RPF constable Sanjay Khandare noticed an unattended bag near the Ladies Waiting Hall on Platform No. 1. Upon inspection, the bag contained cash, jewelry, and personal items worth ₹7,500, including ₹3,300 in cash, a wristwatch, an earring, a beauty product, and important documents like an Aadhaar card and ATM card.

The bag also contained an old college receipt with the contact number of the owner. After contacting the owner, Shravani Sanjay Mahale, who had mistakenly left the bag behind in her rush to board the train, RPF successfully arranged for her brother, Abhishek Ashok Mahale, to collect the items from the station. The bag and its contents were handed over to him after proper verification and documentation.

The grateful passenger thanked the RPF for their prompt action and honesty in returning her belongings. This effort is a part of RPF’s continued commitment to ensuring safety and service for passengers through initiatives like ‘Operation Amanat’.
