KAMPTEE :- An impressive parade at Chunni Lal Parade Ground of National Cadet Corps Officers Training Academy, Kamptee, Maharashtra marked the Passing Out Ceremony of Cadet Training Officers (CTOS) of National Cadet Corps (NCC) Junior Division. The Passing out Parade was reviewed by Major General KJS Rathore, Commandant, NCC Officers Training Academy, Kamptee in which 57 Third Officers, 410 Army Cadet Training Officers and 45 Naval Cadet Training Officers of 17 Directorates of NCC marched smartly to the martial tunes played by the Military Band of Army Service Corps Centre, Bengaluru.
The Cadet Training Officers are school teachers representing all states and union territories of India and the parade epitomized “Discipline and Unity”, the motto of National Cadet Corps. The Parade was commanded by Academy under Officer Suresh MalSetty of Andhra Pradesh & Telangana Directorate. On successful completion of this course the Cadet Training Officers received their NCC commission and became proud Associate NCC Officers (ANOS). The winner of the Commandant’s Gold Medal and Director General’s Baton for standing first in the order of merit amongst Army CTOs was CTO Naveen Singh Raghav while CTO Amlan Dash & CTO Rohit Chauhan, won the Silver & Bronze Medals respectively. Amongst Naval trainees the winner of the Commandant’s Gold Medal and Director General’s Baton for standing first in the order of merit was CTO Parab Narendra Kanoba while CTO Mayur Bhagapa Kalal & CTO Yadu Krishnan won the Silver & Bronze Medals respectively. The Director General’s Banner for Inter-Company Championship was won by Shivaji Company
The passing out parades was the successful culmination of forty-five days of rigorous training curriculum which included Drill, Physical Training, Yoga, Leadership & Personality Development Capsule, Community Development and Disaster Management classes with the aim to empower them to conduct NCC cadet training efficiently in their respective units. The event was witnessed by senior officers, dignitaries, and the family members of the trainees.
The Reviewing Officer in his address urged the passing out course to uphold the aims and objectives of NCC and contribute towards effective Nation Building by shaping young minds. and molding the NCC cadets to become responsible and dynamic citizens of our country. He complimented the passing out course for the high standards of Drill and training displayed by them. He also appreciated the ‘Tearn OTA’ for the conduct of training in an outstanding manner.
