Nagpur :- The National Railway Mazdoor Union (NRMU) observed Mahaparinirvan Diwas to honour the memory of Bharat Ratna Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the chief architect of the Indian Constitution and a tireless advocate for social justice and equality.
Dr. Ambedkar’s life stands as a beacon of hope and inspiration, reminding us of the core principles of equality, fraternity and dignity for all. His unwavering dedication to uplifting the marginalised and establishing a just society resonates deeply, not only in India but across the world.
On this solemn occasion, NRMU members reaffirmed their commitment to the ideals championed by Dr. Ambedkar. Under the guiding principle of “One Industry, One Union,” the NRMU continues to work towards a unified and equitable workforce while safeguarding the rights and dignity of every railway worker.
At the NRMU Headquarters in Matunga, Comrade Venu P. Nair, General Secretary of NRMU (CR/KR), garlanded Dr. Ambedkar’s portrait and led a tribute to the great leader. Similar homage ceremonies were held at NRMU branches across Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Bhusawal, and Solapur Divisions of the Central Railway, where members gathered to honour Dr. Ambedkar’s profound contributions to the nation.
The NRMU urges all its members to embrace Dr. Ambedkar’s transformative vision and work together to build a just and inclusive society that reflects the values enshrined in our Constitution.
