Mumbai :- “On the lines of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple, the Mumba Devi Mandir area will also be re- developed. The government will take positive decision on establishing the Mumbadevi Temple Development Authority,” said chief minister Eknath Shinde. The Chief Minister was speaking after inspecting the area of Kalaba Devi and paying is obeisance to the Mumbadevi. Speaker of the state legislative assembly advocate Rahul Narvekar, women and children development Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, member of legislative assembly Sada Sarvankar, former minister Dr Deepak Sawant, former minister Raj K Purohit, former corporator Akash Purohit, additional commissioner of municipal corporation P Velarasu and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
Speaking further, chief minister Eknath Shinde said that the Mumba Devi Mandir is an ancient temple and all have faith, trust and love for it. He said that the pilgrims and devotees from various regions visit the Mumba Devi temple for paying their obeisance to the deity. He said that the Mumbaiites have stressed the demand for developing the Mumbadevi Temple region at par with the Kashi Vishwanath temple, Mahakaleshwar Temple corridor of Ujjain and Tirupati Shrine. He said that keeping in mind the necessary facilities required for the queue for getting a glimpse of the deity, the parking spot and other necessary facilities, the government will be taking all efforts to provide them.
