Mutijapur – A workshop with consumer group “Janmanch” Mutijapur was organised at Chakrapani Bachat Gat Dall Mill Ground,Murtijapur on 13.12.2021, 12 PM.Around 100 members of Janmanch and Farmers attended the Program.
Program started with a welcome note SPO Isha Khurana and welcoming of the guest Shri Sudhakar Gaukhede (President-Janmanch,Murtijapur),Shri Arun Bonde(General Secretary).She also mentioned how can Janmanch and BIS do collaboration and work towards Consumer Awareness.
Standard Promotion Officer Isha Khurana gave a deep insight on Bureau of Indian Standards .He further briefed about the various activities of BIS such as Standards Formulation, Product Certification Scheme, Compulsary Registration Scheme, Foreign Manufacturers Certification Scheme, Hall marking Scheme, Laboratories Services, Laboratory Recognition Scheme, Consumer Affairs Activities, Promotional Activities, Training Services National & International level, Information Services.
Scientist D Shri Piyush Wasekar gave presentation covering the topic of Consumer.He very well explained the Rights of the Consumer, Consumer Protection covering the Consumer Protection Act 2019 and Central Consumer Protection Authority.He also explained the duties and responsibilities of the Consumers..
Standard Promotion Officer Mrs Isha Khurana covered all the details about BIS Care App which included the usage, functioning of the app.
Open house session was conducted in which various queries raised by the participants were clarified to their satisfaction.
