Maharashtra is on first rank in all fields – Chief Minister Eknath Shinde 

– Flag Hoisting at Mantralaya on Independence Day

Mumbai :- “Maharashtra today ranks first in the country in terms of foreign direct investment. Due to this, employment will also increase to a large extent. We believe that the state will remain number one in the country in all sectors like agriculture, education, energy, infrastructure, health and tourism. Let us all take an oath and strive to make our state more developed” said Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde hoisted the flag at Mantralaya Precinct on the occasion of 76th Independence Day of India. He was talking on that time. Chief Justice of Bombay High Court Devendra Kumar Upadhyay, Chief Secretary Manoj Saunik, Additional Chief Secretary Sujata Saunik, Additional Chief Secretary of Royal Etiquette Department Manisha Mhaiskar, Director General of Information and Public Relations Jayashree Bhoj, Chief officers of all the three forces of the Indian Army in Mumbai along with senior police officers, officials and staff of the Ministry were present on this occasion. After hoisting the flag, Chief Minister Shinde, offered flowers to the effigies ofChatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, Mahatma Jotiba Phule, Savitribai Phule, Jijau Ma Saheb. wished the people of the state on the occasion of the anniversary of Indian Independence Day. He also paid tribute to the known and unknown freedom fighters, martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde further said that he is satisfied that as the head of the state, I am able to work for the welfare of common people. If we want to give real meaning to this freedom, we should be able to create happiness in the lives of the common people of this state.

“The problems of the last segment of society should be solved on priority so that they can experience real freedom and development. The state government’s intention is that government schemes should reach the people at the grassroots level and Maharashtra become more prosperous.  Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reminded us of this responsibility by declaring campaign ‘Meri Mati Mera Desh’ (My Soil My Country). From this occasion of today’s Independence Day, we should follow this responsibilities and support the campaign on large scale” stated Shinde.

He further informed that in the last five years, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has lifted 13.5 crore people out of the poverty line and given new strength to the poor in the country. Women gained self-respect through Jan Dhan Departments. Now due to DBT, whole rupees are being deposited in the bank account. Due to this, transparency has increased in the implementation of the scheme. “The true meaning of freedom is responsibility. This is the responsibility of developing the country, building a good society and moving forward with everyone. Like the Centre, we have been able to work for the development and progress of the state for the past year. This is a special joy on today’s Independence Day. We are writing a new chapter of coordination between the state government and the central government” said Honourable Chief Minister.

Important decisions taken by the government during the year “In revolutionary schemes like ‘Shasan Aapya Dari’, we have given benefits worth crores of rupees to more than half a crore beneficiaries. When the beneficiary of this scheme comes in front of me, I see the happiness in his eyes. In that, I find the true meaning of freedom” assert Eknath Shinde. Maharashtra ranks first in the country in providing crop insurance to farmers at one rupee “We have announced a crop insurance scheme for farmers for just one rupee, for the first time in the history of the country, the largest number of farmers in a state have paid such a large amount of crop insurance. Due to this, one and a half crore farmers have benefited

from this scheme. They have gone beyond the norm to help the disaster-affected farmers. So far, our government has given more than twelve and a half thousand crore rupees to the victims” informed Shinde on this occasion.

He further stated that in Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana, 6 thousand rupees have been added by the state to the 6 thousand rupees of the center and government are giving 12 thousand rupees to the farmers every year. About 1.15 crore farmer families will get benefit in future. The work of 35 stalled water resources projects has been speeded up. Nearly eight lakh hectares of land will come under irrigation. Maharashtra government also restarted Jalyukta Shivar scheme. An interlinking project is being undertaken to divert the water of rivers in Konkan flowing into the sea.

“Efforts are underway to divert river water to drought affected areas through Marathwada Water Grid. The government has made ST travel free for senior citizens and 50 percent discount for women. Crores of citizens have benefited from this. A scheme like ‘Lake Ladki’ was started to provide a financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh to a girl child till she turns 18. A separate section was started for disabled brothers and sisters. In the last year, we have helped more than 12 thousand patients through the Chief Minister’s Aid Fund Cell to the tune of Rs 100 crores” informed Chief Minister. “In Mahatma Phule Jeevandayai Arogya Yojana, the insurance cover has been increased from 1.5 lakhs to 5 lakhs. A historic decision has been taken to implement this scheme for every citizen of the state. ‘Balasaheb Thackeray Apala Dawakhana , the scheme is to provide free examination and treatment to every citizen of the state in all government hospitals and for the poor people in the state. We have brought new policies on textiles, information technology, green hydrogen, ports. Recruitment of vacant government posts in the state is going on fast” said Sihnde.

He further stated that was decided to give free uniform, shoes, and socks to all the school students. A corporation has been established for crores of unorganized workers. Implemented Lad committee recommendations for thousands of neglected sweepers. They were guaranteed a job and a house. There has been a substantial increase in the pension of the destitute, Anganwadi Sevak, Asha Sevak, Gram Sevak’s remuneration, student’s scholarship, scheduled student’s subsistence allowance. Government is giving a bright future to the backward, weak, poor youth through organizations like Sarathi, Barti,

Mahajyoti, Amrit, Annasaheb Patil Economic Development Corporation. Working capital of women’s self-help groups under Umaid Abhiyan has doubled.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said while taking oath 9 years ago that our promises are the direction of our work. That is our goal and that is our commitment. We want to realize the dream of making the country independent and powerful. Maharashtra is also moving in the same spirit” said Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on this occasion.
