Mumbai :-The Governor of Maharashtra Ramesh Bais offered floral tributes to Bharat Ratna Dr B R Ambedkar at the Chaitya Bhoomi Memorial in Mumbai on the occasion of the 133rd Birth Anniversary of the Architect of the Indian Constitution on Sun (14 April). The trisharan Buddha Vandana was recited on the occasion. The Governor presented the holy clothes (Cheevar) to Bouddha Monks on the occasion.
Municipal Commissioner of Mumbai and Administrator Bhushan Gagrani, Additional Municipal Commissioner Dr Ashwini Joshi, Collectors of Mumbai City and Suburban districts, Bhante Rahul Bodhi, General Secretary of Bharat Ratna Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Mahaparinirvan Samiti Nagsen Kamble were among those present.
The Governor also endorsed the Voter Awareness Campaign organised by the Collectorate of Mumbai at Chaityabhumi by signing on the flex board which read “I shall cast my vote”.
