नागपूर :-ISKCON Jagannath Rath Yatra will be organized on July 8, 2024, at 12 noon by Shri Shri Radha Gopinath Temple, Empress Mall, the Nagpur center of ISKCON. The event will be graced by Shri Krishna Chaitanya Swami Maharaj from the United States (Newyork) as the chief guest.
Under the guidance of Shril Loknath Swami Maharaj, a beloved disciple of the ISKCON founder Acharya, A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Shril Prabhupada, the rath yatra will commence from Poddareshwar Ram Temple (Mayo Hospital Chowk). Prior to the procession, 56 bhog offerings will be made to Lord Jagannath Balabhadra, and Subhadra at Shri Shri Radha Gopinath Temple at 10 am. The deities will then be brought to the starting point of the yatra by three Vigraha cars and motorcycle rally, after which they will be placed on a grand chariot.
The maha aarti will be performed by Shri Krishna Chaitanya Swami Maharaj, a resident of New York and a sanyasi disciple of Shril Lokanath Swami Maharaj. Following the blessings, the rath yatra will be flagged off.
Dr. Shyamsunder Sharma, spokesperson of ISKCON Nagpur, stated that arrangements have been made for aarti and other activities to welcome Lord Jagannath along the entire route. The Rath yatra will travel through Dosar Vaishya Bhawan Chowk, Geetanjali Chowk, Agrasen Chowk, Gandhi Bagh, Swami Vallabhacharya Chowk (Nanga Putala), Khule Chowk, New Itwari Road, Gandhi Putala, Bachcharaj Vyas Chowk (Badkas Chowk), Chitnavis Park, Tilak Putala, Thadeshwar Ram Mandir, Agyaram Devi Chowk, Cotton Market Chowk, Phule Market, and Empress Mall to back Iskcon Temple culminating with another maha aarti and 56 bhog offerings to the Lord.
The temple’s president, Sachchidanand Prabhu, and Regional Secretary Assistant (RSA) Hari Kirtan Prabhu, have appealed to all life members and residents of Nagpur city to participate in the event and make their lives meaningful by pulling the chariot of Lord Jagannath.
For the success of the program, temple vice-president Brajendratanay Das, along with ShriPandharinath Das, Vishal Das, Sadhana Bhakti-Mataji, Venugopal Das, Prananath Das, Param Karuna Das, Sachitnay Gaur Das, Ashish Khandelwal Prabhu, Kapil Prabhu, Sudama Prabhu, Narhari Thakur Prabhu, Aaradhya Bhagwan Prabhu, Nityanand Chaitanya Prabhu, Anmol Prabhu, and many other devotees are supporting the event.
