Mumbai:-Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari presented the ‘Pillars of Hindutva Award’ to veteran parliamentarian, economist and politician Dr Subramanyam Swamy and others at an awards ceremony held at Y B Chavan Auditorium in Mumbai. The Awards function was organised by the Hindu Education and Research Foundation headed by journalist and editor Dr Vaidehi Taman.
The Governor also presented the Pillars of Hinduism Awards to Saduguru Narayan Maharaj, Gahininath Maharaj Ausekar, Swami Karmaveer, Swami Girishanand Saraswati and Sadguru Shri Riteshwar Maharaj. The Governor also released the biography of Sadguru Riteshwar Maharaj ‘Life Beyond Complications’ by Vaidehi Taman on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion Governor Koshyari said India has always been a spiritual nation. Stating that the country is witnessing the period of renaissance, he expressed the confidence that the country will become a Vishwa Guru once again. The Governor acknowledged the contribution of Saints in shaping the cultural ethos of the nation.
