Nagpur :- Wing Commander V Deepika Rao has taken over the Command of No.2 (Mah) Air Sqn NCC, Nagpur from Wing Commander MV Mudllar on 01 Feb 24.
Wing Commander V Deepika Rao is an experienced helicopter pilot, who has about 2500 flying hours to her credit and also carried out numerous casualty evacuation, search and rescue, HADR and operational commitments. She has been posted to a premiere Air Force Station in North India, where she received CAS Commendation for various rescue missions prior to assuming command of the unit
She is an Ex NCC Cadet of No.1 (Kar) Air Sqn, wherein she achieved many laurels as CSUO and had participated in AIVSC 2002 as glider pilot and in RDC-2003. She is also a qualified Scuba Diver, an avid mountaineer and has climbed MT Everest in the year 2011.
