Nagpur – Basketball Federation of India under the leadership of the President K Govindraj and Secretary General Chandermukhi Sharma launched its BFI-INBL (Indian National Basketball League) 3×3 Season 1 from 18th March 2022 in 20 cities across India. This FIBA approved BFI-INBL FIBA 3×3 competition is being held all across the 20 cities in the following categories a. Men and Women (Players 18+ years of age) b. U18 Men and U18 Women (Players born on or after 01.01.2004) in following 20 cities Aizawl, Bengaluru, Bhavnagar, Bhilai, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cuttack, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kangra, Kochi, Kolkata, Ludhiana, Lucknow, Mumbai, Panjim and Puducherry.
Registrations for competitions in all categories will be via online Entry Form: https://bit.ly/inbls1ENTRY. Teams once registered will get a FIBA 3×3 Event Registration link to complete their FIBA 3×3 Registrations to become a part of the FIBA 3×3 World Rankings.
The Cash prizes (Each category) will be awarded at both City competitions as well as National Competition. In City level, Teams will receive Rs. 30000/-, 20000/-, 15000/- and 10000/- for Winners, Runners, Third Place and the Fourth place in Men and Women Above 18 years category.
City Level Below 18 years category Boys and Girls will receive cash prize of Rs. 20000/-, 15000/-, 10000/- and 5000/-respectively for first 4 places.
Champions of each category in the City competitions will gain entry to the National Finals. The National Finals will feature 20 teams in each category.
At National Level cash prizes worth 150000/-, 100000/-, 75000/- and 50000/- in Above 18 category and 75000/-, 50000/-, 25000/- and 15000/- will be awarded to the first 4 teams in the competition.
Games will start as early as 9 am on a Friday and end around 9 pm on the same Sunday.
For Maharashtra players the competition will be held at Don Bosco School Matunga and Indian Gymkhana Matunga Mumbai on 13th to 15th May 2022. Last date to confirm the entries is 9th May 2022. All the participating players will get the official FIBA 3X3 ranking. Any 4 players can combine and form a team and register themselves online. Players can give any name to their team within the rules of the INBL. The Captain of the team will be responsible for the act of the team. Shiv Chhatrapati Awardee Shatrughna Gokhale is appointed as the Maharashtra coordinator of the BFI-INBL 3X3 competitions. Govind Mutthukumar will be the City coordinator for the Mumbai competitions. Organising Committee consists of Dr. Dhananjay Welukar and Jayant Deshmukh will look after the Mumbai Competitions.
