Nagpur :- In a significant move aimed at improving public transport, a new bus route will be introduced on Monday, 03.03.2025 to enhance connectivity for residents of Besa and Pipla Gaon. This much-needed service will link these densely populated areas to key locations across the city including commercial hubs to nearby metro stations. This decision was taken in a meeting held on 28.02.2025, which was chaired by Shri. Vinod Jadhav, Transport Manager, NMC – Transport Dept.
Planned meticulously by Maha Metro and the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC), this initiative will provide seamless public transport access to destinations such as Nagpur Railway Station (Platform #8), Ganeshpeth Bus Stand, Medical Chowk, Government Medical College, VR Mall, and Cotton Market/Santra Market. The introduction of this route is expected to be a game-changer for daily commuters, reducing their dependency on private vehicles and mitigating traffic congestion.
For years, residents of Besa and Pipla have faced considerable difficulties in reaching areas of high footfall and other transport hubs. The new bus service is designed to eliminate these connectivity challenges, making daily commutes more convenient and affordable.
Officials from Maha Metro and NMC have emphasized that this decision was taken after extensive deliberation and planning. By streamlining public transport services, the initiative aims to enhance urban mobility and promote the use of organized transport networks.
The Bus Service would operate under the Route Number 426 and will have the following stoppages Shree Laxmi Estate, Astha Nagar, Ensaara Metro Park, Pipla Gaon, Atharva Nagari, Shri Ram Nagar, Akshay Nagar, Besa Terminal, Besa Ghat, Mangldip Nagar Or Chintamani Nagar, Alankar Nagar, Mangaldeep Nagar No 1, Shahu Nagar, Tata Square, Parivartan Square, Manewada Square, Mahalaxmi Nagar, Balaji Nagar, Dnyaneshwar Nagar Gate, Siddheshwar Hall, Jadu Mahal, Shivraj Nagar Or Jadu Mahal Square, Rajkamal Square, Vishwakarma Square, Tukdoji Putla Square, Vima Hospital, Krida Square, Medical College Square, Baidyanath Square, MSRTC ST Stand, Moksha Dham Or Ghat Road, Cotton Market, Cotton Market Metro Station and Nagpur Railway Station Metro Station.
