Gadchiroli :- Chief Secretary Sujata Saunik today reviewed the administrative machinery in Gadchiroli, urging to expedite development projects in the district. She instructed officials to ensure that no development work remains pending for more than two weeks and to contact her directly if there are obstacles in the projects.
During the review meeting at the District Collector’s office, attended by District Collector Avishyant Panda, Special Inspector General of Police Sandeep Patil, and District Police Superintendent Nilotpal, Saunik emphasized the need to utilize technology to enhance the speed of administrative work and develop Gadchiroli as a digital district. She recommended installing solar panels on government buildings for energy savings, promoting multi-crop methods in agriculture, and encouraging the planting of fruit trees.
She directed that local ITI students should be prioritized for employment in district industries, ensuring at least 30% job opportunities for women. Additionally, she suggested proposing amendments to the PESA Act to resolve existing issues.
Saunik assured that any local difficulties that cannot be resolved will be prioritized for her attention, urging prompt action to eliminate technical challenges and ensure timely completion of development work.
District Collector Avishyant Panda presented information on the development projects in the district. The Chief Secretary also visited the IIT training center at Gondwana University and the single center, recommending the establishment of a digital carpentry unit and an e-bicycle production unit to enhance training and employment opportunities for students.
The meeting was attended by all sub-divisional officers, deputy collectors, and heads of various departments.
