Chief Minister’s Instructions to Arrange Special Aircraft to Bring the Students Back
Mumbai :- Chief Minister Eknath Shinde today contacted the students of Maharashtra over the phone. These students are stuck in Manipur due to the ongoing riots. The Chief Minister comforted them and assured them of all possible help. Meanwhile, arrangements have been made for a special aircraft to bring these stranded students back to Maharashtra and soon this plane will reach Maharashtra carrying 22 stranded students, said the Chief Minister.
Many students of Maharashtra are studying in NIT, IIT of Manipur. Tushar Awhad and Vikas Sharma are also among them. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde contacted these students over phone and comforted them. The Chief Minister assured them of all possible help. In this regard, the Chief Minister has directed the state Chief Secretary Manoj Saunik to contact the Chief Secretary and Director General of Police of Manipur and request them to take care of the safety of these students.
After discussing with the students and getting complete information about the situation, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has directed the administration to arrange a special aircraft to bring back these students. Soon this aircraft will reach Maharashtra with these stranded students. The state government is keeping an eye on the situation in Manipur, said Chief Minister Shinde.
