NAGPUR : Nearly 5,000 delegates have registered for the Women’s Science Congress which will discuss key issues of the empowerment of women from urban career women to tribal women. The event will be held on January 5 and 6, 2023, as part of the 108th Indian Science Congress being hosted by Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University.
Convenor of the event, Dr. Kalpana Pande, informed that the event will be inaugurated at 2.00 pm on January 5 by Dr. S. Chandrasekhar, Secretary, Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. The eminent guests include social activist and celebrity Tina Ambani, social activist, Kanchan Gadkari and Padma Shri awardee “Seed Mother” Rahibai Popere.
“It is for the first time that the women’s event is being organized on such a scale by RTM Nagpur University. It is one of the biggest events of the 108th Indian Science Congress,” said Dr. Pande. More than 80 speakers of national and international repute will share their knowledge and experience in different spheres of women empowerment and welfare.
