Nagpur :-The Symbiosis Centre for Skill Development (SCSD) recently organized a highly engaging and informative guest lecture on January 5, 2025 “How Photography helps in Wildlife Conservation”. The session was conducted by renowned Wildlife Biologist, Shrikant Dhoble, who is associated with the Pench Tiger Reserve in Maharashtra.
The lecture, scheduled from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, turned out to be a power-packed, three-hour event that offered valuable insights into the intersection of wildlife conservation and photography. Shrikant Dhoble, with his extensive field experience, captivated the audience with an in-depth discussion on wildlife behaviour, complemented by rare and stunning photographs from his personal collection. Also he spoke on biodiversity. His presentation highlighted how photography can be a powerful tool in raising awareness about endangered species, documenting wildlife, and promoting global conservation efforts.
The session was meticulously coordinated by Mangesh Dongare, with Raju Wankhede serving as the program anchor. The event successfully attracted an audience of around 30 to 35 participants, including students, professionals, and wildlife enthusiasts, all of whom were eager to learn more about the vital role that photography plays in the conservation of wildlife.
SCSD aims to continue offering such educational sessions to foster a deeper understanding of the critical environmental issues of our time. The event was a resounding success, providing attendees with a unique opportunity to engage with an expert in the field while exploring the significant impact of visual storytelling on wildlife preservation.
