As part of their ongoing social activities to commemorate their silver jubilee; a free health camp by OCHRI in association with Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University was recently held for the benefit of all Nagpur
university officials at Health Center, Ambedkar Law College, Nagpur.
Dr. Rajashree Kapkar, MD (Medicine)- OCHRI Physician and Dr. Noorul Ameen-OCHRI Medical Superintendent from Team OCHRI rendered their expertise during this free general Health Camp. Blood Pressure, health counselling and Free Blood Sugar checkup was also done.
Earlier camp was inaugurated by Hon’ble Dr. Subhash Chaudhary- Vice Chancellor, RSTM Nagpur University. He also felicitated TEAM OCHRI and thanked them for this altruistic social gesture. Prof. Sanjay Dudhe- Pro Vice Chancellor also visited and interacted with medical team.
On this occasion Dr. Rajashri Kapkar said that “Usually, high blood pressure has no symptoms. Your doctor will probably measure it at every visit but you may need to check it at home, too. Likewise, complications of diabetes
include multi organ involvement like eye, nerves and kidney. Most people with diabetes will eventually have high blood pressure, along with other heart and circulation problems. Hence periodic blood pressure and blood sugar checkup should be done by all 40+ individuals, she further added.
Large number of employees of Nagpur University availed the benefit of this camp. Dr. Saroj Shamkunwar – RTMNU Health Officer thanked OCHRI management and Dr. Anup Marar- Director OCHRI for this social gesture. Dr. Noorul Ameen- OCHRI Medical Superintendent and Sr. Rashika Diwe assisted Dr. Rajashree Kapkar for success of this camp.
