Mumbai – Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari had an informal interaction with the medical students and doctors from Maharashtra participating in a social service camp ‘One Week for the Nation’ organised by Sevankur Bharat at Raj Bhavan Mumbai on Sat (28 May) . The Camp was held at Saragur near Mysore in Karnataka recently.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Koshyari called upon doctors and medical students to give at least one fortnight in a year to serve the society, especially in rural and tribal areas.
He said service to society will give the doctors inner joy and satisfaction. The Governor called upon medical students to develop the art of public speaking, teaching and leadership qualities. Ninety five medical students from 69 Colleges of Medicine, Homoeopathy, Ayurveda and other streams were present. Medical students and Consultants shared their experiences of the Camp on the occasion.
Well known gynaecologist Dr Indira Hinduja, Mahadev Padwal, Dr Yatindra Ashtaputre, Dr Ashwinikumar Tupkari, Dr Arti Adhe, Dr Prashant Gaikwad were prominent among those present.
