Mumbai :-The Governor of Maharashtra and Chancellor of state Universities Ramesh Bais has appointed Dr Dnyandev Kundlik Mhaske as the new Vice Chancellor of the Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil University, Satara.
Dr Mhaske is presently serving as the Principal of Dhananjayrao Gadgil College of Commerce, Satara.
Vice Chancellor of the Shivaji University, Kolhapur Dr. D. T. Shirke was the first Vice Chancellor of the newly formed Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil University, Satara.
Prof. D.T Shirke was appointed to the post of Vice Chancellor by Government order dated 21st October 2022 and thereafter granted two extensions on 11th October 2023 and 13th April 2024.
The Governor had constituted a Search Committee under the chairmanship of Former Chairman of AICTE, New Delhi Dr. S.S. Mantha to recommend a panel of names suitable for appointment of the Vice Chancellor.
Dr. Anil Appasaheb Patil, Chairman Rayat Shikshan Sanstha, Satara, Prof Dr Shivajirao Kadan, Chancellor, Bharati Vidyapeeth, Pune, Vikas Chandra Rastogi, Principal Secretary to Government, Higher and Technical Education Department and Prof Ganga Prasad Prasain, Vice Chancellor, Tripura University (UGC Nominee) were the members of the Search Committee.
Dr Mhaske was appointed as the Vice-Chancellor for a period of five years from the date he assumes the charge of the post or till he attains the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier.
