Mumbai :- President of India Draupadi Murmu launched the nationwide health initiative ‘Ayushman Bhava’ through online mode. The President also inaugurated the ‘Ayushman Portal’ on the occasion.
The state-level launch of the ‘Ayushman Bhava’ initiative was held in the presence of Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Minister of Public Health and Family Welfare Dr Tanaji Sawant from Sahyadri State Guest House in Mumbai.
Various health related services were launched on this occasion.
‘Ayushman Bhava’ scheme has been launched with the aim of providing quality health care facilities and extending the benefit of various welfare schemes to people in the rural as well as urban areas.
‘Max Healthcare’, Nagpur District TB Officer, Jalna District TB Officer, Dhule City TB Officer and Mumbai City TB Officer were felicitated by the Governor for their good work under the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan. Three separate Apps for Nursing Home Registration, Charitable Hospital Admission and Community Health Officer were launched by the Chief Minister.
The Governor and Chief Minister also launched the campaign ‘Nirogi Aarogya Tarunaiche, Vaibhav Maharashtrache’. A collective pledge of Organ Donation was read out on the occasion.
MLA Bharat Gogawle, MLC Manisha Kayande, Additional Chief Secretary Health Department Milind Mhaiskar, Secretary Nawin Sona, Commissioner of Health Dheeraj Kumar and other officials were present.
