Nagpur – A Programme was organized by Bureau of Indian Standards, Nagpur Branch Office on 9.12.2021 11:00 AM at Gada Grampanchayat Ground,Gada on “Standards pertaining to agriculture, Sanitation and Healthcare Standards” for the farmers of Gada village. Around 70 farmers attended the Program.
SPO Isha Khurana started the Programme by welcoming the Sarpanch and other other key members of the Grampanchayat.
She also covered the topic of Sanitation in which he very well explained the meaning and importance of Sanitation. She also further gave details about Types of waste, Method of Solids Waste Disposal like Composting, Burial , Biogas Plant .She also explained standards for sanitary ware buying.
Miss Anuraj Dubey DH further briefed about the standards pertaining to agriculture.She very well explained how standards related to agriculture can benefit the farmers.She also gave details about the various standards to be followed in the irrigation process.
SPO Isha Khurana shared details about various Healthcare standards used in medical field. She very well explained the scope of Standardization in the field of Medical Equipment and Hospital Planning Department(MHD).She covered the topic of Standard Formulation in MHD with Overview Of Division Council /Sectional Committees / Sub-Committees / Panels . She also shared details about standards on medical devices covered under BIS product certification scheme and various standards used in commonly used medical devices like Eye Protector, Syringes, Gloves, Thermometer ,Ventilators etc.
At the end of the program, open house session was conducted in which various queries raised by the participants were clarified to their satisfaction.
