Lt General Gurbirpal Singh DG NCC reviews the Passing Out Parade at OTA NCC , Kamptee.

Nagpur 15 Jun 22 – Impressive Passing out Parade (POP) was held at National Cadet Corps Officers Training Academy, Kamptee, Maharashtra on 15 June 2022. In which 706 Associate NCC Officers (ANOs) passed out.

The Passing Out Parade was reviewed by Lt General Gurbirpal Singh, AVSM, VSM, Director General, National Cadet Corps. The meritorious Army trainees were Cadet Training Officer Geo Reji, Cadet Training Officer Mukesh Sundhesa & Cadet Training Officer Gagan Das, who won the Director General’s Baton with Commandant’s Gold Medal, Commandant’s Silver Medal & Commandant’s Bronze Medal respectively. Whereas Cadet Training Officer Ravi Prakash Mani Tripathi, Cadet Training Officer Merugu Bhanuprakash & Cadet Training Officer Anil Kumar won the Director General’s Baton with Commandant’s Gold Medal, Commandant’s Silver Medal & Commandant’s Bronze Medal respectively as meritorious Naval Trainees. The Director General’s Banner for Inter Company Championship was won by Shivaji Company. The Parade was commanded by Academy Under Officer Pilli Kotesh.

The selected teachers from various school all over the country, trained to be commissioned as ANOs, marched to the tunes of “Sare Jahan Se Accha” and ‘‘Kadam – Kadam Badhaye Jaa’’ rendered by the brass band of the EME Regimental Centre, Bhopal. The ceremony was witnessed by a number of service officers, civil dignitaries, NCC Alumni and Cadets alongwith school children.

The Cadet Training Officers went through a rigorous training program of forty-five days, which included Physical Training, Weapon Training, Yoga, Drill, Leadership & Personality Development and a host of other Military, Social Awareness and Disaster Management activities to empower them to conduct NCC cadet training efficiently in their respective units.

The Reviewing Officer in his address urged the passing out ANOs to uphold the aims and objectives of NCC and work towards effective Nation Building by shaping the young minds. He called upon all ANOs to serve as role models for the NCC cadets in particular and to the society at large. He also reminded them of their bounden duty to ensure safety and security of NCC cadets during conduct of the institutional training and Camp training as part of NCC curriculum. He also expressed his happiness on the high standards of Drill and training displayed by the passing out course and complimented Team OTA for the excellent conduct of training in the Academy.
