Mumbai : Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has offered condolences to the family of the forest guard Swati Dhumane, who was killed following a tigress attack in Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve (TATR) area in Chandrapur. Expressing condolences to the deceased Mrs. Dhumane, the Chief Minister also announced that Rs. 15 lakh would be provided to her family as an assistance and her husband would be inducted into the service of Forest Department.

While forest guard Mrs. Dhumane was on duty to conduct a survey for the tiger count at the Tadoba-Andhari project, she was killed in an attack by the tigress. In connection with this unfortunate incident, Chief Minister Shri Thackeray has expressed his condolences to the deceased and her family. As per the provisions of the Forest Department, Rs 15 lakh would be provided as an aid to Mrs Dhumane’s family, Mr. Thackeray announced. In addition to this, Mrs Dhumane’s husband would be inducted into the services of the forest department, the chief minister instructed.
