Nagpur :- Symbiosis Centre for Skill Development (SCSD) hosted a dynamic and insightful workshop on Fashion and Portrait Photography on 22nd May 2025, organized in collaboration with Fujifilm India. The event was led by Abhimanyu Pandey, a prominent Commercial Photographer and Fujifilm Product Evangelist from Delhi.
The session began with a warm felicitation of Abhimanyu Pandey and Vaibhav Dongre, Area Sales Officer at Fujifilm, by Dr. Jaiprakash Paliwal, Director of SCSD. The proceedings were anchored by Raju Wankhede, Faculty of Photography and Graphic Design.
In his presentation, Abhimanyu highlighted the unique capabilities of Fujifilm’s camera sensor technology and its renowned colour science, offering attendees in-depth technical knowledge. He also shared practical and valuable tips for conducting fashion shoots, emphasizing composition, styling, and creative direction.
The second session was a hands-on model shoot, where Abhimanyu demonstrated lighting techniques, focusing particularly on the three-point lighting setup. He explained how to control and shape light to create mood, depth, and visual interest in portraiture.
The workshop saw enthusiastic participation from around 40 attendees, including students from the Photography and Graphic Design programs. It concluded with an engaging Q&A session, where participants had the opportunity to interact directly with the mentor, deepening their understanding and creative vision. Additionally, two employees from Rajkarni Media, who successfully completed the Photography and Filmmaking Certificate Course, were presented with certificates by the mentor.
This workshop was part of SCSD’s ongoing initiatives to promote skill development and professional excellence in the creative arts, reinforcing its commitment to hands-on learning and industry exposure.
