Mumbai :- The Textile Department has developed the second phase of the E-Textile Portal to further strengthen the grant management system for the textile industry. This phase will be a digital revolution for the textile sector, said Textile Minister Sanjay Savkare.
At Mantralaya, the Textile Minister Sanjay Savkare inaugurated the mobile app of the second phase of the E-Textile Portal and also launched the “TexConnect” monthly magazine. The event was attended by Principal Secretary of the Textile Department Virendra Singh, Textile Commissioner Sanjay Daine, Director of the Silk Directorate Vinay Moon, Deputy Secretary Shrikrishna Pawar, Deputy Secretary of the Silk Department Shraddha Kochrekar, and other officials.
Minister Sanjay Savkare stated that this portal, developed in collaboration with ICICI Bank, will accelerate the subsidy process while ensuring greater transparency and expanded services. These services include technical textiles, small-scale textiles, handloom, silk industry, and related sectors.
With the inauguration of the second phase, the E-Textile Portal will now boost technical textiles, handloom, and silk industries, along with all other major textile sectors. This expansion will provide a fast, transparent, and efficient digital platform for all stakeholders in Maharashtra’s textile industry, added Minister Sanjay Savkare.
