Mumbai :- Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari presented the Matang Samaj Ratna, Matang Samaj Mitra and other special mention awards to eminent personalities from the fields of social work, literature and art at Raj Bhavan Mumbai on Thursday (6 Oct). The awards function was organised by the Matang Sahitya Parishad. 
Kirtankar Bhagwan Baba Anandgadkar and Chairman of National Commission of Denotified Nomadic Tribal Development Board Dada Idate were given the Matang Samaj Mitra awards, while well known writer Chandrakant Wankhede was presented the Matang Samaj Ratna Award at the hands of the Governor.
The Governor also felicitated Prof. Arun Andhale, Rajan Lakhe, Dr. Ashok Kamble, Prof. Ishwar Nandapure, Sunil Ware, Dr. Sanjay Deshpande, Aditya Subhash Kelkar and folk singer Shahir Nandesh Umap, Lok Gayak Chandan Kamble, Radha Khude and others.
Descendent of Sant Tukaram Shivajirao More, Dr. Ramesh Pandav, Dr. Ambadas Sagat and Chairman of Matang Sahitya Parishad Dr. Dhanajay Bhise were present on the dais.
