Nagpur :- The 1st DRM Challenge Inter Departmental Athletic Championship was inaugurated on dated 21.10.2024 with great enthusiasm at Ajni Ground by the respected Additional Divisional Railway Manager (Adnim) PS Khairkar and Additional Divisional Railway Manager (Tech) Rupesh Chandekar. The championship, a significant event in the railway sports calendar, will witness 304 athletes from 15 teams across various departments competing in 49 events.
The inaugural ceremony was marked by a grand display of unity and sportsmanship. ADRM (ADMIN) and (Tech), in his inaugural speech, emphasized the importance of physical fitness and teamwork in the railway workforce. He lauded the efforts of the organizing committee and wished all athletes the best of luck.
This athletic championship aims to promote inter-departmental camaraderie and provide a platform for athletes to showcase their talents. The competition will feature a wide range of track and field events, including sprints, relays, long jumps, high jumps, shot put, discus throw, and more.
