– CM Inaugurates ‘Amrit Kaal Viksit Bharat – 2047’ Conference
Nagpur :- The Union Budget 2025-26 is dedicated to farmers, youth, women, and the underprivileged, covering 10 key sectors such as agricultural productivity, rural prosperity, employment-driven growth, human resource development, innovative investments, and energy availability. This budget will ensure economic prosperity and create an alternative ecosystem for India in Amrit Kaal. Provisions for states have also been made, which will help Maharashtra stay ahead in India’s development journey, said Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today.
The CM was speaking at the inauguration of the ‘Amrit Kaal Viksit Bharat – 2047’ conference organized by Money Bee Institute at Scientific Society’s Lawn, Laxmi Nagar, Nagpur. He analyzed the budget presented in Parliament today. Present at the event were Vijay Kedia, Managing Director of Kedia Securities; Shriram Krishnan, Chief Business Development Officer, NSE; and Shivani Dani-Wakhare, Director, Money Bee Institute.
Key Highlights from the Budget Analysis:
1. Agricultural Growth and Rural Development
A comprehensive program covering seeds, irrigation, and electricity will be implemented across 100 districts, benefiting over 1 crore farmers.
A six-year plan to increase pulses and oilseed production to make India self-reliant.
A five-year ‘Cotton Mission’ to boost cotton production, especially benefiting 50 lakh hectares in Vidarbha and Marathwada.
Kisan Credit Card limit increased from ₹3 lakh to ₹5 lakh, providing interest-free loans to farmers.
2. Industry and Employment
₹1.5 lakh crore allocated for MSME sector growth and job creation.
Expansion of IITs and an increase of 10,000 MBBS seats to enhance education and skill development.
200 cancer treatment centers to be set up across government hospitals in India.
50 world-class tourism centers to be developed through competition among states, including Buddhist heritage sites.
3. Middle-Class Benefits and Tax Reforms
Income tax exemption limit increased to ₹12 lakh, boosting middle-class purchasing power.
Introduction of a new simplified Income Tax Act for a streamlined taxation system.
4. Infrastructure and Maharashtra’s Development
₹1.5 lakh crore interest-free loan for 50 years to states for infrastructure development.
Increased investment in PPP model projects to accelerate infrastructure growth.
Maharashtra allocated ₹11,000 crore for projects like Mumbai Metro, Pune Metro, MUTP, and MMR.
CM Fadnavis expressed confidence that Maharashtra will utilize these opportunities effectively and play a leading role in India’s journey towards development.
The event also featured remarks from Vijay Kedia and Shriram Krishnan, while Shivani Dani-Wakhare delivered the opening speech.
