Nagpur :- In a significant step toward promoting sustainability and environmental conservation, the Nagpur Division of Central Railway has successfully installed an Atmospheric Water Generator (AWG) with a capacity of 250 liters per day at the Ajni Coaching Complex. This advanced technology was commissioned in November 2024 as part of the Division’s ongoing commitment to sustainable practices and efficient resource management.
The AWG utilizes cutting-edge technology to harvest water directly from the atmosphere, ensuring a reliable and eco-friendly water supply. By reducing dependence on traditional water sources, the installation aligns with the Railway’s goal of conserving water resources while meeting operational and human requirements.
This innovative initiative is expected to support the needs of the coaching complex while contributing to the broader mission of resource optimization across Indian Railways.
