Nagpur :-Central Railway’s Nagpur Division is making significant strides in improving the infrastructure of key stations under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, aiming to provide passengers with a more comfortable and efficient travel experience.
Balharshah Station work is progressing on multiple fronts, including the cover-over shed, platform surface improvement, and the relocation of Type-II quarters. The Divyangjan toilet has already been completed, ensuring accessibility for differently-abled passengers. Additionally, the boundary wall work for the circulating area is underway, alongside the construction of the RB-II block.
Chandrapur Station is also undergoing extensive upgrades, with ongoing boundary wall and drainage work for the circulating area, as well as the development of the second entry point. Key improvements, including the main entry gate and COP (Customer Over Platform) have been completed. The enhancement of the General Waiting Hall is also completed, offering a more comfortable waiting space for travelers.
At Hinganghat Station, the foundation for the Foot Over Bridge (FOB) on Platform 1 is under construction, with work progressing on boundary walls and the new station building. The parking area for Platform 1 is also being upgraded with CC (Circulating area) work, and columns for the FOB are being erected. In addition, the dismantling work for the ramp at Platform 1 is currently in progress. The cover-over platform work has already been completed, adding to the station’s appeal.
Sewagram Station is undergoing important developments, including excavation for the FOB foundation and the construction of the entrance gate. Road and boundary wall work for the circulating area and parking area development are also in progress, ensuring smoother passenger movement and better amenities.
These ongoing improvements under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme are part of Central Railway’s continued efforts to modernize station facilities, ensuring safety, accessibility, and enhanced passenger comfort. The project is expected to make a lasting impact on the daily travel experience of thousands of commuters across these stations.
