Nagpur :- Delhi Public School Kamptee Road, Nagpur conducted BrightCHAMPS Summer Camp for students of Grades III-XII from 7th May, 2023 to 12th May, 2023. The 6-Day camp was filled with enthusiasm and zeal to learn.
The first day of the camp began with the introductory session based on the respective courses offered by the students viz. Entrepreneurship, Financial Literacy, Coding and Robotics. The day was full of wonder, joy and learning for the students. On Day 2 the students were taught Income & Expense, Types of Expenses, Goods & Services, Inflation, Financial IQNeeds & Wants, Opportunity cost in Financial Literacy and Entrepreneurship. In CODING Thunkable and Scratch was taken up. In the Robotics, the students had a blast creating a fruit ninja which is an AR game where students chop fruits by hand gestures using webcam.
On Day 3 the students were taught ‘Knowing Your Customers’, their needs wants preferences, empathising with the customers and Customer Persona, Money Management habits like Self- Control, Delayed Gratification and Instant Gratification. The students enjoyed learning Thunkable and Scratch. They learnt how to programme the Qaurky Bot to act as a mini guard robot. On Day 4, they learnt everything about prices, Cost plus pricing, value based pricing and competition based pricing model. They also learnt about the functioning of the bank, banking terminologies followed by types of bank account, loans and EMI, different ways of payment such as cheque debit cards credit cards and also learnt about credit score.
On Day 5, the students were enlightened about the last component of Young Entrepreneurs Canvas where they learnt about markets and different marketing and sales goals, profits and losses, taxation, inflation and demand and supply. On Day 6, they were introduced to investing, basics of investment instruments and power of compounding. They were also taught about savings, budgeting and investments. It was an information- packed week with fun games and modules that kept the students engaged at all times.
The students were ecstatic and filled with excitement throughout the camp and enjoyed immensely. They shared great reviews about the camp and commented on the novelty of the concepts taught.
The resource persons were energetic and interactive and infused the students with a sense of excitement. It was an enriching experience for the students.
